I Said “Yes” to the Dress
Today I went dress shopping and I FOUND MY DRESS!! It was an amazing experience. My mom, sister, 2nieces, and I drove down to San Diego to go to Jana Ann Couture. My mom found this amazing company it popped up as an ad on her Instagram and I am SO glad that she did!
Lets start from the beginning of my day. We were running behind on schedule already but I NEEDED food and my sister had to touch up her toes. Not only was I irritated because we were behind on schedule and I was hungry, but I was also on the second day of my cycle! So I was ready to just cancel the whole appointment. As we were headed to my appointment there were multiple accidents on the freeway, making us even later to our appointment. So the whole way to the appointment I was silent, wishing deep down that I could just be in bed.
We finally arrived to the location at 4:26 PM and my appointment was set to start at 4:00 PM. I thought they would rush my appointment and not give me the full experience but I was COMPLETELY wrong. For one, the boutique was so beautiful. The ladies there were so sweet and I very quickly bonded with them. I tried on 6 dresses but by number 4, I knew I had found the ONE! I can’t even begin to describe how I felt. I now understand what women mean when they say, “When you know, you know,” and I knew.
Another amazing thing about the boutique is that the designer only makes so many quantities of each dress. With my dress, I am the first person to purchase that style so the dress will be named after me for any other brides that purchase it. Once I knew it was the dress, I immediately called my dad and mother-in-law on Facetime and they fell in love. When I was staring at myself in the dress, I was just imagining walking down the aisle to Nehemy and looking like the perfect princess. I felt so beautiful and stunning in it!
I go back on October 8th for all of my measurements, but I’ll also get to bring my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. They also said I can try on more dresses for the fun of it!
I am so excited to receive my dress and see it on myself again!
