Bre’s Second Proposal

As we get further in our wedding planning process, one of the most heartwarming experiences for me was creating and gifting my matrons and bridesmaids their proposal boxes.

Each box was a personalized to each bridesmaid. I made sure to add a special touch to each box to personally show why I needed them to be present on my special day. I made sure the colors and decorations matched the theme of each boxes. It was a creative process filled with excitement.

I made reservations at a nice restaurant and told my girls that my sister was throwing together a dinner for me to celebrate my engagement and I NEEDED them all to be there. Each day that led up to presenting these boxes, anticipation bubbled up inside me. I wanted this moment to be perfect. I felt extremely grateful for all of these beautiful ladies. There was only one problem, 3 of my bridesmaids live across the country… I wanted them to feel just as special and included in this proposal but I wasn’t sure how? I talked to my fiancé and we decided it was best not to wait 4 months until I saw them in person to give them their gifts, I should just send them directly to their houses. So that’s what I did.

When the day finally came, watching their reactions was pure joy. Tears of happiness, tight hugs, shared laughter, and heartfelt expressions of affection filled the room. Their reactions were a testament to our strong friendships and reminded me how fortunate I am to have them by my side. When my girls out of state received their boxes, the messages I got from them made my heart so happy. It made me realize I have a great support system around me. I can’t wait to share the most important day of my life with my 11 girls by my side!
